Aim to Educate about Women in Sikh History.

Too little is still known about the history of Sikh women's history. Women have played a vital role in shaping Sikh history, however, their voices have often been left out of standard historical narratives, silenced by a lack of primary sources as well as an assumed belief by male historians that they were not part of the development of Sikhism.
 A campaign that celebrates women’s

achievements in the Sikh faith while calling for gender equality.

 VOICES   THAT  MATTER

Sikh history has recorded the role of women, portraying them as equal in service, devotion, sacrifice, and bravery to men. Examples of women's moral dignity, service, and self-sacrifice are common in the Sikh tradition.

However, gender equality has been difficult to achieve in practice due to heavy pressure from social, cultural practices.
